I've now completed the Great Manchester Run, in a time of 56.32 (PB! ) but the good news is, you've still got time to donate money - this site will remain open until about 8 weeks after the race, so if you hadn't got around to it, now's your chance!

Just to remind you what it's all about, I've dragged my flabby butt round the Great Manchester run a few times in the past in search of a respectable time, and to make sure I didn't bottle out I made sure that I was raising money for a worthy cause. This year it's Cancer Research UK, because it's a cause that has suddenly come to the forefront of our family's minds - my wife's mother has been undergoing treatment for cancer recently, whcih has brought home to us all just how serious, and how random, cancer is.
