My story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Cancer invades so many people's lives. I never got the chance to talk to my grandfather, Thomas Evans, who's life was cut short by cancer - he had a fine tenor voice and we never had the opportunity to share our mutual love of music.
My mother, Freda, successfully fought off breast cancer in her 40's. So many of my friends have been affected in some way by cancer. I am dedicating my marathon in memory of a dear colleague and friend, Julie, who lost her battle against breast cancer a year ago.

Well, I made it in 6hrs 11 mins! I am quite pleased and relieved at finishing the race considering I was a last minute replacement in February on the reserve list. A very big thank you to all my friends, relations, colleagues in Hammersmith and Fulham Libraries, friends at Goldsmiths Choral Union and St Mary's Church West Kensington who have sponsored me.
