Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. On the 24 th of October im running the Birmingham Half Marathon for Cancer Research UK this year. In 2008, there were more than 156,000 cancer deaths in the UK, and one in four (27%) of all deaths in the UK were due to cancer. Deaths from cancers of the lung, bowel, breast and prostate together account for almost a half (47%) of all cancer deaths. However, between 1979 and 2008, mortality rates from cancer fell by a fifth (20%) due to the work of such charities as Cancer Research Uk. All i am asking for is a small donation to help save people's lives. You will be surprised the smallest donation can go along way. This charity is extremely important to me as i have lost family members to this disease and i really appreciate any support you can give and together we can beat cancer !!!!
