Our personal message:

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my fundraising page.

I have decided to run in the 1st full Brighton marathon for a few reasons.  Firstly, none of us are getting any younger and at 43 years young I noticed I was carrying a few extra pounds, what better way to shed a few, a bit extreme I know, but now I am halfway through the my training schedule and over the worst of the aches and pains, I am actually starting to enjoy it.

Secondly, the boys I coach at Highdown Saints FC are starting to catch me in our training routines (can't have that).

Finally, for those of you that know me I was affected by cancer in 1994 when I lost my eldest son Kevin at the age of 11.  Throughout his battle he received excellent care in hospitals in London, Surrey and finally BRIGHTON where I will be running. This was the deciding factor in choosing Cancer Research UK as my designated charity.

So please dig deep and sponsor me now!
