Thanks for visiting our page.
For those of you who haven't already heard, the 3 of us have decided to run the New York Marathon this November. Training has been steady over the last 2 months but tendon damage, shin splints, stye removals and bruised feet have hindered our progress along the way. Despite the injuries picked up, we are now almost ready to run a marathon and all confident that come the day we will all be raring to go, especially as we are running for such a good cause.
The reason we have decided to take on this challenge is that just after Christmas Gaye Walton (Paul's Mum) was diagnosed with breast cancer, and as a collective we wanted to do somthing to help. The way that we thought it best was to take on a challenge and raise money to aid the development of treatment for this diesease. Coming off heavy student lifestyles we thought the New York marathon would be challenge enough and a race that Gaye has run herself so has sentimental meaning aswell.
The saddest thing about cancer is that almost everyone knows someone close to them who has suffered from it and we are training and running this race for everyone so please give generously. We are so grateful for all donations,no matter how large or small, that we recieve. Its so easy to donate through this site and please gift aid your donations simply because cancer research gets more money.
Cheers, Team Gay(e). xoxo
