Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments. But, much work remains to be done if we are to achieve our aim of beating cancer.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Karen and I have been best friends since we were young. I have been fortunate enough to have had her in my life for many years. Sadly Karen lost her battle with cancer in December 2007. She leaves behind a dedicated partner and a three year old little girl. Karen touched all of our lifes and she is greatly missed. Nearly all of us have been affected by cancer at some point. In memory of Karen and to help support all the other people and families coping with this traumatic experience I have decided to participate in the Great north run - all the proceeds will go to Cancer research.

Please support me and all the others who are trying to make a difference. All contributions will be greatly received no matter how small.
