A mom, a dad, a sister, a brother.   A cousin or friend.  A spouse. We all know someone that has been touched by cancer in some way or another.

I plan to race for all those that have had this unwelcome intruder enter their lives.

Even I have known people with this disease:
My cousin died at age 18.  She had bone cancer.  My aunt died at age 39.  She had breast cancer.  My grandfather died at age 85.  He was claimed by colon cancer.

This runs in my family and I'd love to see Cancer Research UK make progress on developing a cure.  I'd love to help them save more lives.

On March 2, 2008, I shall be running the LA Marathon.
