Neiline (http://www.justgiving.com/totti), my younger sister has just got the all clear after a third bout of cancer. She is a shining example to us all of what determination and self belief can do to help overcome illness. She stood tall on her 30th birthday in January 2007, bald but proud and now, with hair and an "all clear" behind her, took on the Flora London Marathon on 13 April 2008 and got round! I accompanied her on most of the course and was thrilled that she waited crossed the line a good few minutes ahead of me and then waited to show her support as I crossed the line. I was delighted to share in a lifelong dream of hers and to be alongside someone I am so proud to call my sister on a special day for her and for a great organisation in Cancer Research UK. For all our supporters who braved the blazing sun, the hailstones and rain to see us - THANK YOU ALL. For those of you who texted into the BBC to wish us luck - again, thanks! You were all foremost in our minds as we pounded along the streets. Photos are available to view now at: http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/8018158 Official ones to be posted in a few weeks. Thanks Dad for taking them and waiting patiently at 22miles for us!
For Neiline and all those out there with cancer, recovering from cancer or those who like me want to support a charity who I am sure one day will cure cancer, dig deep and sponsor me online. I would also be grateful if you could advertise this page as widely as possible to help me reach a worthwhile target. With grateful thanks for your support. Kirsten Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
