Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I am running London Marathon 2010 for Cancer Research UK - a charity very dear to me. After a persistent knee injury and operations in June & December 2009, I am now back training hard for the big day on 25th April 2010. I lost my beloved Dad to cancer in June 2009 and, as part of my own healing process, I am following in his footsteps and running London Marathon 2010. My Dad was an exceptionally fit, sporty man - running many marathons in the past 30 years. His best time was ironically only 3 years before he died where at the age of 62 he completed New York Marathon in 3hr 13m. Although I don't anticipate running that fast (!) I do plan to draw upon all the strength & encouragement he gave me all my life to complete the 26 mile course. Please show your support to my charity and help make a difference to Cancer Research UK. Cancer affects 1 in 3 of us, so lets do our best to put a stop to it. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please donate whatever you can!! Thank you all very much, Sarah xx
