My personal message:

This September, I'm running (or most likely walking most of it) the Bristol Half Maration again. I've decided to raise money for Cancer Research UK this year. Cancer has, sadly, been a big part of my life during the past year. My uncle, Alan, and my dad's cousin, Roger, have both been diagnosed with cancer but are thankfully both on the road to recovering. Two of my work colleagues, Tony Hathway and Diane Dillings, both sadly lost the fight against cancer. It's for them, and everyone else affected by cancer, that I am putting myself through the torture. It will all be worth if you help me to raise a stack of load of cash for this amazing charity though.
