Thanks for checking out this update………
My Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago and thankfully has just been given the all clear. I can remember vividly the conversation we had when she said the words “It’s Cancer” to me over the phone, It was like an emotional train hitting me... the memory still to this date upsets me. One of our friends has recently been treated for testicular cancer and is well on the road to recovery. A very close friends mother has just been diagnosed with lung cancer having only recently lost her husband to cancer. I have several colleagues at work who have sponsored me who have witnessed the devastating effect that this disease has. …what I am (probably very badly) trying to say is that yes I am doing this very small thing is support of Neil but also in support of you…..
Neil (pictured on the right) continues to deal with his predicament to the best of his ability, I am proud of him. We are all painfully aware of the outcome and rightly or wrongly refuse to give up hope and cling to every possibility that what appears to be inevitable will not happen.
Whatever your personal reasons for sponsoring me are I thank you again. I feel privileged to do this small thing in support of you and my mate Neil and am humbled by your kindness.
