THROUGH YOUR EFFORTS WE HAVE ACHEIVED OUR TARGET.  But we will continue raising funds until the end of the year

On 1st November 2009 our Managing Director John Peters finished the New York Marathon for Cancer Research uk in 4 hours 18 minutes and 5 seconds! John said a major thank you to everyone for supporting him and especially his wife Nikki and boys Ben and Will who avoided Abercrombie and Fitch for the day to cheer him on.

15 October 2009 - BOLLYWOOD NIGHT - a fantastic evening was organised by Nikki Peters at Annoka Restaurant in Salisbury, thanks to the generosity of local businesses £2810 was raised for Cancer Research UK; once the final funds are received this whole amount will be put on the website.  £2330 on website + £480 cheque sent direct to Cancer Research.

9 VES ladies completed the "Race for Life" on Sunday 7 June 2009. See their picture after the grueling 3 miles!  The Runners - Colette Gregory (Accounts), Diana Farrow (Accounts), Sandra Sankey (Accounts), Kylie Rymell (Sales), Wendy Gilbert (Sales), Iwona Page(Operations), Debbie Rose (Site Services), Amy Hobbs (Spares and Maintenance Sales), Wendy Reade (Eastleigh).

All of the money has now been received for the "Race for Life" and a total of £2013.59 has been raised. Thank you and well done to all of those named above.

Ian and Beth Whitworth sent £100 cheque saying - Good luck for the Marathon John.

Russell Miller and the team at Vail Williams in Sothampton sent a donation of £150 for Cancer Research.

VES has an annual charity, in the past we have raised many thousands for local and national charities. All 220 employees voted on our 2009 charity with the winner being Cancer Research UK.

We have set ourselves a challenging target of £5000! We would love to exceed that amount and have many fun ways to raise money. Please contact accounts or a social committee member with any fundraising ideas you have.

We really appreciate all donations and are asking our team, customers and suppliers to help us achieve our target.
